The Creator

For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.
— Romans 1:20

It can be easy for us to forget that humans didn’t create the world. Sure, we made cities, buildings, and machines, but if we look past all of those things and just look at the beauty and brilliance of the earth, it would be difficult not to be amazed by God’s creation. We should admire the jungles, the oceans, the mountains and all of the animals that inhabit them. Be amazed by the sunset, the waves and the roaring wind. What does The Creation reveal about its Creator?

It’s through The Creation that we see the invisible qualities of The Creator. Through the majestic peaks of the Rockies we see the majesty of the King. Through the serenity of the sea we see the Prince of Peace. Through the expanse of the universe we see the thoughtfulness of the omniscient. It may be difficult for us to see these qualities without something visible to guide us, but Romans 1:20 reminds us that we have no excuse not to know God because we are surrounded by Him daily.

When it seems like you are distant and He isn’t near, look to the trees. See how they are moved by the wind that He sets in motion. Look at the swallows that nest in them. If He cares for them, aren’t you more valuable to Him than they are?

It’s through His creation that He lets us know of the love, detail and care He puts into each and every one of us.
